The Accountant General announces the allocation policy of the Fixed Rate Malta Government Stocks October 2016.

The Accountant General announces that the Malta Government Stocks issue of October 2016 was closed on Monday 17th October 2016 at 2.30pm shortly after it was oversubscribed. In this regard, the auction which was scheduled to be held at noon on Monday 24th October 2016 is being cancelled as no balance was available for allocation under the auction/bid system.
The allocation policy being adopted for applications received from members of the public will be announced immediately after the vetting of applications for compliance with the provisions of the prospectus is finalised.

Further to Press Release No. PR162177 issued on Friday 7th October 2016, the Accountant General notifies that the price for each Stock offered for subscription by members of the public has been established as follows:
(i) 1.5% Malta Government Stock 2022 (IV) Fungibility issue at €107.25 with a YTM of 0.223%, which corresponds to an annualised rate of 0.223%, and
(ii) 2.1% Malta Government Stock 2039 (I) at €102.50 with a YTM of 1.964%, which corresponds to an annualised rate of 1.973%.

07/10/2016The Accountant General announces the issue of €100 million Malta Government Stocks (MGS) subject to an over-allotment option of an additional sum up to a maximum of €60 million. Applications for subscription in the MGS open on Monday 17th October, 2016.
